Lady Bird Cottage

Perched just above Woods Overlook on our farm in Blue Ridge, Lady Bird Cottage is a charming, light-filled retreat designed with both beauty and purpose in mind. From its windows, a bride can add her final touches while quietly watching guests arrive below — close to the celebration, yet tucked away in complete privacy. Thoughtfully positioned for easy access to the venue, the cottage makes the transition from preparation to procession feel effortless. Soft natural light, graceful details, and inviting finishes create an elegant space to exhale and savor the moment. Beyond wedding days, Lady Bird is equally suited for slow mornings with a cup of tea or joyful girls’ weekends marked by laughter and a celebratory toast of champagne.

Unwind and enjoy the subtly refined features of Lady Bird Cottage

Designed with comfort and calm in mind, Lady Bird Cottage is beautifully equipped for those meaningful final moments before an event. Large windows invite in ample natural light, while dimmable overhead fixtures and dedicated vanity lighting ensure flawless hair and makeup at any time of day. A refrigerator is stocked and ready, with coffee and tea available for a quiet pause or a celebratory sip.

We’ve also tucked in the thoughtful little essentials that make all the difference — hair pins, clear hair ties, safety pins, garment tape, a needle and thread, and even a bit of hairspray for last-minute touch-ups. Every detail is curated so you can relax, feel prepared, and focus on the joy of the day unfolding just beyond the windows. Any special requests? Just let us know!

The vanity area inside Lady Bird Cottage has dedicated lighting, mirrors, and everything you need for last minute touch ups.

Fun Fact:

The cottage was named after former First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson, who was best known for her environmental advocacy, particularly her work on the Highway Beautification Act of 1965. This legislation, nicknamed "Lady Bird's Bill," aimed to beautify the nation's highways by limiting billboards and promoting roadside landscaping. She was also a champion of conservation efforts and played a significant role in promoting the preservation of national parks and historic sites. Naming the cottage “Lady Bird” was a natural choice, given how closely her efforts align with our own here at Living Lucky Farm: appreciation of nature and wildlife, conservation of resources, and preserving the beauty of our land.
